I really wanted to show you my makeup looks for yesterday (friday) and Thursday but I was really really sick and just wasn't in the mood. Today I had to go to school so I figured I'd do the makeup I wanted to do for this post. It's Smoky Saturday baby!! For the first Smoky Saturday post I wanted to do the traditional black smoky eye look and of course I had to use my favorite smoky eyes palette, Too Faced's Smokey Eye!! In terms of trying new face products out, I wasn't in the mood (I mean, hey, I am still sick after all) so I just used the usual products. I got a little dressed up today. Outfit of the day will be further down after the makeup. Yay It's finally summer outside!! I'm including a ton of pics because I finally got some great shots during the day with natural sunlight.
If you're really into smoky eyes like me, this palette is a godsend. The 'day' look is a dark brown smoky eyes which matches my hair and looks good. The one I did today is the 'classic' look and the 'fashion' look is a silver and purple look. That look also looks very nice, but it isn't everyday kind of makeup.
I also decided to include a picture of that set of 5 Stila Eyeliners they had around Christmas. I think you can still get it on Sephora's website.
I mentioned in my last post that I will be doing this week's Fashion Friday next week instead. I was really sick that day and I just didn't want to do makeup. Sorry!

So that's today's Smokey Saturday Look! I hope you enjoyed my take on the traditional black smokey eye. And now for my outfit:
So what do you think of the form-fitting skirt?? Makes me look a few pounds lighter. The t-shirt and tights are both polk-a-dot. I got the shirt, skirt and sweater at Dynamite. Got the earrings at Ardene. Cat necklace was a gift. I did my bun using one of those donut things. If you want me to show you how to do your hair using the donut, leave me a comment. The flats are Michael Kors.
So yeah, that concludes this Saturday's Smokey makeup.
Did you love/hate the Smokey Eye palette? What's your favorite look from it? What brand and colors do you use for your black smokey eye? What lipstick/lipgloss do you pair it with? What do you think of "Better Than False Lashes"? What do you like/not like about my whole look? What should I try next?
Remember to keep checking back for more posts. I always try to post at least once a day. Again, here's the sneak peak of Fashion Friday's 60's mod makeup. Left side is fashion and right side is basic. For the basic look, draw a thick line with white liner and go over it with black. It'll look like two lines. Liquid liner works best for this.
Thanks for reading,
Steph xo.
