[Edit: New post on the evening look of this palette and swatches of the whole palette here.]

Today I'm doing a look that I don't typically wear normally. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and try out the blush that comes in the palette. Being a porcelain skinned girl with pink undertones, the colors that complement me are pinks and reds and to stay the heck away from oranges and deeper browns when it comes to face colors. While I'm sure some of you can pull off orange, I just can't. I look ridiculous. But anyways, today's post is a look from Too Faced's winter 2012 Love Sweet Love palette. I hardly use the first look (the brown day look) because I could never seem to get that blush and my bronzer to work together. So now that I recently bought Too Faced's Bronzed and Poreless bronzer, I figured I would give it a try with that palette. And the results are nice!

If you remember when they released this, they released a couple other palettes at the same time. This one was by far the better purchase and it was the first to sell out completely, well before the other palettes from the same collection sold out. This palette also came with a bunch of amazing products, and I use every single one of them. I hate when I buy a collection and I don't even use half the things that come with it. But this palette is not like that, I guarantee you will use everything. I'm pretty sure you can't get this anymore, but you can improvise! I know this was a limited edition palette, but Too Faced tends to use the same colors each year in their Christmas Collection, so watch out for this year's!

I think it was about 50$CAD but I don't remember anymore >.<

In the box:

a cute Too Faced makeup bag

Love Sweet Love palette

Primed & Poreless Face Primer (you get a deluxe size, the one pictured is regular size and is 38$CAD)

Shadow Insurance (you get a deluxe size, the one pictured is regular size and is 24$CAD)

Petite Pouf brush (their Powder Pouf Brush is 40$CAD)

Perfect Eyes eyeliner in Perfect Black (you get a deluxe size, the one pictured is regular size and is 25$CAD)

full size Lashgasm Mascara - 28$CAD

As you can see, I bought the full-size versions of all the minis. I truly do love Too Faced's products and this collection was no exception. The eyeshadows, blush and lipgloss were great quality. My only complaint is that I wish that Burnt Sugar was a little bit darker, but the look still looks amazing. As always, the palette includes a few pages with 2 looks, one day and one evening, a mirror, and some poetry. There is a plastic page as well that goes on top of the makeup page to keep it clean. I was worried that all the pigment from the eyeshadows and blush would fall into the lipgloss, but the lipgloss stayed pretty intact except for the odd little bit of dust over them, but really no biggie.

The Verdict: I would totally recommend this collection... if only it was still available! It comes with awesome products that you actually will use everyday and the palette has universal colors that are complimentary on everyone. If you manage to find this someone, buy it!

And now, on to the look! I'm doing the day look that is included in the palette (top look). My favorite look from this palette is the evening one, so keep reading because I plan on doing that one too!

I hoped you enjoyed this look and tutorial. Even if this collection is no longer available, I'm sure you can find some good dupes. Instead of Vanilla Sugar, try using MAC's Shroom, instead of Ganache try using MAC's Espresso and instead of Mocha Ice try using MAC's Woodwinked. It won't be exactly the same look, but it'll still be beautiful. For the blush, use a dusty rose color. For the bronzer, DO NOT USE SHIMMER! I tried using shimmer and that is why I could not get this look to work. Use a matte bronzer, preferably darker than the blush, because you want to contour under the cheekbones and make that blush and your cheekbones stand out. For the lipgloss, use the Stila Lipglazes I mentioned earlier, or use another light to dark plum colors or even brown. I hope that these suggestions help you to achieve your own look at home. You don't need to have the exact products to create a beautiful makeup look.

Did you buy this palette last Christmas and did you like it? Is there anything in this collection that you would not use and why? Would you gift it/want to be gifted this? Can anyone suggest a good dusty rose blush? Which is your favorite/hated product out of all the ones mentioned in this look?

And finally, I know I said it was going to be Mascara Monday lol but I'm going to have to postpone til next week unless you want to hear all about Lashgasm for the billionth time. I've got way too much going on school-wise right now to be doing multiple looks a day. Sorry! I promise much more (even some youtube) once exams are done.

Love you like a reptile,

Steph xo.
