So I found this makeup tag, 40 questions makeup tag, and thought I would do it to give you guys a better sense of who I am and what my makeup interests are. I encourage you to complete this tag out as well and leave your answers as a comment below. I'm interested in reading YOUR likes and dislikes, faves and hates, and all the rest.

SKINCARE

-How many times do you wash your face daily?
Twice. Once in the morning and once at night.

-What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo)
Combo. Oily t-zone and my cheeks tend to get dry patches sometimes.

-What is your current facial wash?
Clean and Clear Acne Wash

 -Do you exfoliate?
Ummm does blackhead scrub count??

-What brand do you use?
For face stuff I use the Acne Wash mentioned above and a bunch of the Body Shop's Tea Tree line. Those products have literally worked magic on my face.

-What moisturizer do you use?
Body Shop's Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion

-Do you have freckles?
yep across both cheekbones in sort of a horizontal line

-Do you use eye cream?
nope, I'm not that old yet.

-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
I've never had horrible acne but I do get the occasional pimple or two or three once in a while.

-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
No

MAKE-UP

-What foundation do you use?
Makeup Forever (MUFE) HD Foundation in 110

-How about concealer?
MAC Select Cover-Up in NW20 and MAC Studio Finish in NW20

-Do you know your undertone color?
Yes, it's pink!

-What do you think of fake eyelashes?
They look fun and I want to try them (yes I've never tried them! my own eyelashes are very long so I don't need them.)

-Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes but I don't.

-What brand of mascara do you use?
Too Faced Lashgasm.

-Sephora or MAC?
Both!!!!!

-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
No

-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
a ton of different brushes. always.

yes, Too Faced Shadow Insurance and Urban Decay Primer Potion

yes, Too Faced Primed and Poreless and MUFE HD Primer

-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
oohh boy thats a tough one! I'm gonna say MAC Black Tied.

-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
both!

sometimes when I'm on the metro or bus when im touching up my makeup

-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
They seem cool but I've never used any.

-Do you use mineral makeup?
No, my skin isn't that oily for me to need to use that so I just never tried it out.

-What is your favorite lipstick?
ohhh boyy. I'm gonna say Too Faced La Creme in Marshmallow Bunny and Chanel's Coco Rouge Shine in Parfait 74

-How about lipgloss?
NARS Sweet Dreams

-What is your favorite blush to use?
Benefit's Bella Bamba

-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
hells no, there are a lot of fake makeup products going around, so don't get fooled!

-Do you like drugstore makeup?
I've never really used any. I used some Ardene makeup when I was a kid and it was really horrible so I'd rather spend more money now on something that's going to last me years as opposed to keep having to buy stuff every month because you keep having to reapply and reapply and still the color won't stick!

-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)
nope. im pretty sure we dont have that where I live.

-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
yes, i think it would be cool and beneficial for me to take a class.

-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
occasionally, if im in a rush and its morning, ill do one side too dark LOL.

-Name a makeup crime that you hate?
You know that lady on the bus with the dark blue eyeshadow from the lash line to the eyebrows with the dark red blush and the bright pink lips? HER.

-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
Both! I really do like to experiment with different colors and I try to do a different makeup look every single day. It's also a good way for me to practise. You don't need to going to a special occasion to be glamorous :)

-Which celebrity always has great make up?
I'm going to say Lady Gaga because she does some crazy artistic stuff and it's fun. It's fun to see and it's fun to try to replicate.

-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use?
mascara. I have really long and full lashes so mascara would really accentuate that.

-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
no.

-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
yes I think I do. not trying to be arrogant or anything here, but I'm comfortable with the way I look. I'm blessed with almost completely clear skin and I'm still young.

-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
I'm gonna say it's between MAC, Too Faced, NARS and Urban Decay.

-What do you think of Makeup??
I love it! It's a way for women to be creative and express themselves through color, application techniques. It's art! I don't think it should be used to hide features, in fact, I think it should be used to bring out certain features. There are many ways to complement your facial structure, it's about finding that balance and looking good and being comfortable with who  you are. It should give you confidence and make you feel good.

[Edit: New post on the evening look of this palette and swatches of the whole palette here.]

Today I'm doing a look that I don't typically wear normally. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and try out the blush that comes in the palette. Being a porcelain skinned girl with pink undertones, the colors that complement me are pinks and reds and to stay the heck away from oranges and deeper browns when it comes to face colors. While I'm sure some of you can pull off orange, I just can't. I look ridiculous. But anyways, today's post is a look from Too Faced's winter 2012 Love Sweet Love palette. I hardly use the first look (the brown day look) because I could never seem to get that blush and my bronzer to work together. So now that I recently bought Too Faced's Bronzed and Poreless bronzer, I figured I would give it a try with that palette. And the results are nice!

If you remember when they released this, they released a couple other palettes at the same time. This one was by far the better purchase and it was the first to sell out completely, well before the other palettes from the same collection sold out. This palette also came with a bunch of amazing products, and I use every single one of them. I hate when I buy a collection and I don't even use half the things that come with it. But this palette is not like that, I guarantee you will use everything. I'm pretty sure you can't get this anymore, but you can improvise! I know this was a limited edition palette, but Too Faced tends to use the same colors each year in their Christmas Collection, so watch out for this year's!

I think it was about 50$CAD but I don't remember anymore >.<

In the box:

a cute Too Faced makeup bag

Love Sweet Love palette

Primed & Poreless Face Primer (you get a deluxe size, the one pictured is regular size and is 38$CAD)

Shadow Insurance (you get a deluxe size, the one pictured is regular size and is 24$CAD)

Petite Pouf brush (their Powder Pouf Brush is 40$CAD)

Perfect Eyes eyeliner in Perfect Black (you get a deluxe size, the one pictured is regular size and is 25$CAD)

full size Lashgasm Mascara - 28$CAD

As you can see, I bought the full-size versions of all the minis. I truly do love Too Faced's products and this collection was no exception. The eyeshadows, blush and lipgloss were great quality. My only complaint is that I wish that Burnt Sugar was a little bit darker, but the look still looks amazing. As always, the palette includes a few pages with 2 looks, one day and one evening, a mirror, and some poetry. There is a plastic page as well that goes on top of the makeup page to keep it clean. I was worried that all the pigment from the eyeshadows and blush would fall into the lipgloss, but the lipgloss stayed pretty intact except for the odd little bit of dust over them, but really no biggie.

The Verdict: I would totally recommend this collection... if only it was still available! It comes with awesome products that you actually will use everyday and the palette has universal colors that are complimentary on everyone. If you manage to find this someone, buy it!

And now, on to the look! I'm doing the day look that is included in the palette (top look). My favorite look from this palette is the evening one, so keep reading because I plan on doing that one too!

And voila! The look is complete!! Here are some of the products I used that weren't included in the collection:

Too Faced Bronzed and Poreless

I hoped you enjoyed this look and tutorial. Even if this collection is no longer available, I'm sure you can find some good dupes. Instead of Vanilla Sugar, try using MAC's Shroom, instead of Ganache try using MAC's Espresso and instead of Mocha Ice try using MAC's Woodwinked. It won't be exactly the same look, but it'll still be beautiful. For the blush, use a dusty rose color. For the bronzer, DO NOT USE SHIMMER! I tried using shimmer and that is why I could not get this look to work. Use a matte bronzer, preferably darker than the blush, because you want to contour under the cheekbones and make that blush and your cheekbones stand out. For the lipgloss, use the Stila Lipglazes I mentioned earlier, or use another light to dark plum colors or even brown. I hope that these suggestions help you to achieve your own look at home. You don't need to have the exact products to create a beautiful makeup look.

Did you buy this palette last Christmas and did you like it? Is there anything in this collection that you would not use and why? Would you gift it/want to be gifted this? Can anyone suggest a good dusty rose blush? Which is your favorite/hated product out of all the ones mentioned in this look?

And finally, I know I said it was going to be Mascara Monday lol but I'm going to have to postpone til next week unless you want to hear all about Lashgasm for the billionth time. I've got way too much going on school-wise right now to be doing multiple looks a day. Sorry! I promise much more (even some youtube) once exams are done.

Love you like a reptile,

Steph xo.
